Very Important Information
Rules and Regulations
CONDITIONS:
1. Your rate is for the maximum number of persons at one time, as stated on the booking confirmation sheet. (Excluding children under the age of 2years).
2. Under no circumstances will PETS be allowed.
3. The house will be available from 14:00 on the day of arrival and must be evacuated by 10:00 on the day of departure.
4. Since we are making use of a septic tank, you are humbly requested not to discard any foreign objects like cigarette butts, matches, condom’s, sanitary pads or any other objects in the toilets, washbasins, bath or shower as this will cause a blockage of the system and might result in a very unpleasant stay.
5. As we are dependent upon water tanks for our water supplies, you are also humbly requested to use water with great care.
6. A servant, at an additional cost of R 100.00 per day per house, will be available from 8:00 till 17:00 daily to clean the house, make beds and to wash dishes. This service is mandatory.
7. Due to the abuse of the services of the staff as well as wasting of water, the staffs, by order, is NOT allowed to do any washing for tenants.
8. In your own best interest, please comply with the act on sea fisheries
(Summarised copy available at the cottage).
8.1. Please take note that the crayfish season is closed from 1 November until the last day of February. It is in your own interest to refrain from buying any crayfish during this period.
8.2. During the open season, permit holders (available from any Post Office) may only have 8 crayfish per person at any one time but not more than 20 per house, regardless the number of permits. Please see the attached document with the regulations.
8.3. You may not fish or buy any seafood without a permit.
8.4. Officials from different Departments are searching houses from time to time and if you do not comply with the act, the fridges as well as your vehicle will be confiscated and you will land up with a very heavy fine. All the costs incurred in such an event will be the sole responsibility of the tenant.
8.5. No driving is permitted in the forest and on the beaches.
Additional Information
9. Bedding is supplied, but you are free to bring your own if you wish so.
10. Please bring your own towels.
11. The staff consists of Ester, Lolo, Wellington and JB.
12. Please be informed that permits are required to drive off-road.
13. As this is a peaceful environment we do ask that you consider the other neighbours. Please also refrain from polluting the beaches and grounds.
GENERAL
As this is a self-catering facility, you need to bring your own toiletries and groceries.
You also need to bring your own soap, toilet paper and toilet spray, “Handy Andy”, washing powder, dishwashing liquid, “Doom” and “Peace Full Sleep”.
The rest of the cleaning material will be supplied.
Although there is a “Spaza Shop” nearby where you can get fresh bread and minor groceries etc. you are advice to do you’re shopping before the time. The nearest “shopping centre” is Port St John’s, which is 40 km from Sinangwana and takes about 1 hour along the dirt and tarred road.
